The head office of Jiangxi 3L Medical Products Co., Ltd. (3L), is located in the Gaoxin (High-Tech) Development Area ofNanchang,the capital of Jiangxi province. The 3L company was established in 1990 and was the result of the joint venture of local and foreign investors. 3L is a manufacturer of special medical products and has been authorised as a High Technology Enterprise by the Science and Technology Commission of Jiangxi province.

The founder and chairman of the board of 3L, Mr Liqing, has been the driving force for the development of the company. Mr Liqing’s enterprising and creative approach to the development of solutions that meet market needs has produced a company that is capable of utilising high technology to produce products of consistent quality.

The 3L company has manufacturing sites in Pudong Development Area of Shanghai and Gaoxin Development Area of Nanchang. The Modern manufacturing facilities consist of three high speed, fully automated production lines. All workshops are fully air conditioned and utilise air cleaning systems to ensure that the highest manufacturing standards are maintained. Sterile products are processed on site, using a system that fulfills all requirements of state regulations. A key aspect of 3L manufacturing is the focus on maintaining a high level of quality assurance. Consistent quality that meets international standards is achieved through the rigid adherence to quality standards and good manufacturing practice.

Innovative technology and an emphasis on research and development have produced an impressive product portfolio consisting of 15 products range and over 300 individual products. These include, disposable adhesive drapes, adhesive wound dressings and a Health Enterprise and Technology Commission. Additionally, the 3L medical drape products was the subject of a special award granted by the Associative Health Enterprise Administration of the state.3L’s technological expertise provides the opportunity for continued rapid development as a producer of special, high quality medical products. The sales company manages the marketing and sales function, with 20 branches and 24 business departments in cities of provincial level. Currently, 3L products are sold to 5,000 health units in about 30 provinces in China, in addition, 3L products are exported to a number of foreign countries. The combination of national sales coverage and quality products has enabled 3L to effectively penetrate their chosen markets. Today, 3L drape products are used in more than 95% of the national market and the market share for 3L wound dressings is around 50%. These impressive sales results have produced a yearly growth rate for 3L of 45% in the past 5 years.

Under current consideration by the board of directors is the selection of an appropriate time to apply for the listing of 3L as a public company. This next major step is a logical progression as 3L continues its development as a major Chinese health care company.
